Barbara F. Power (Hickey)

Barbara F. (Hickey) Power, 95, longtime resident of Garden City Drive in Mattydale, died Tuesday, April 14, at Loretto. Barbara was a native of Syracuse residing on Montrose Ave for many years before moving to Mattydale in 1994. She was the daughter of the late Vernie and Leila (Russ) Hickey.

Barbara retired after 36 years as a secretary for General Electric in Syracuse and was an avid bingo player.

She was predeceased by her husband, J. Donald Power, in 1969 and by their daughter, Donna Letizia, in 1987.

Barbara is survived by her two grandchildren: Robert Letizia of Solvay, and Laurie Letizia of Hannibal; six great grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Cheryl and Pat.

Contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Road, East Syracuse, NY, 13057.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the wonderful care given to Barbara by the 8th Floor Staff at Loretto Cunningham.

Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 - 10am at Krueger Funeral Home, Mattydale. Services will begin at 10 am followed by burial in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
