James “Jimmy” Priano, Jr., 46, of Syracuse, died Wednesday, June 5th, 2019. Jimmy was born in Syracuse to the late Sally (Foley) and James C. Priano, Sr. He grew up in Mattydale and resided in New York City and Los Angeles before returning to the Green Street Gayborhood in Syracuse ten years ago. Jimmy attended the North Syracuse School District.
He worked at various restaurants in the Syracuse area and at the Gallery Art Store on Walton Street. Jimmy was a part of the LBGQ Community and a self taught artist.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by his siblings: Joan Kowalski, Jimmer Foley, Thomas F. Foley and Sally Ann (Foley) Scalzo.
He is survived by four siblings: Elia (Richard) McClusky of Solvay, Michael O’Mara of Savannah, GA, John (Kathleen) Foley of Tipp Hill, and Mary Ellen “Mimi” (Tim) Scouten of Baldwinsville; and by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins along with many close friends he considered family.
Graveside Services will be on Friday, 9:30 am, at Assumption Cemetery, Section 26, in Syracuse.
