Colleen A O?Connor Prince, 75, of Mattydale died on Thursday at University Hospital.
A native of Mount Vernon, WA she was the daughter of the late Edward and Pearl O?Connor. Colleen was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Mary and Hazen Willet. She attended Holy Names College in Spokane WA and resided in Mattydale since 1962.
She has been employed and also volunteered at the Salina Free Library in Mattydale since 1983. She also volunteered as a driver for the North Area Meals on Wheels since 1990, the Mattydale-Hinsdale Park District and the Red Cross. Colleen also was active in Cub Scouts as a Den Mother and helped with Boy Scout Troop #607. She was a member of St. Margaret?s Church, its Altar Rosary Society and the Riordon Home and School Association.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years Fred in 2003. She is survived by four daughters Christine David Rockwood of Port Byron, Patricia Jeff Cusyck of Port Byron, Deborah David Vogan of Mattydale, Catherine Kerry Grundtisch of Lancaster Ohio, five sons Thomas Marti of Groveport OH, Richard Lisa of Chittenango, Frederick of Mattydale, David Louise of LaFayette, Michael Kathy of Hilton Head SC, 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held 9:30 am Monday at the Krueger Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Margaret?s Church. Friends may call from 1 to 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Burial will be in Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
