Joseph M. Priolo, 86, of Brewerton, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Joseph was a native of Syracuse and resided on Mudmill Road in Brewerton for the past 23 years. He was the son of the late Peter and Angelina Marciano Priolo.
Joseph was a World War II Army veteran who served in the European Theater. He retires in 1985 after working as a tractor trailer operator at General Crushed Stone in Jamesville. Joseph was a member of the American Legion Post #787 in Cicero; he was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing in Oneida Lake and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce, in 1985.
Surviving is his wife of 23 years, the former Martha Messano; three daughters: Cindy Ed Bersani of Syracuse, Joanne Robert Williams of Fayetteville, and Joyce Cary Casler of Clay; his step-children: Angelo Karen Messano of FL, Joseph Denise Messano of MI, Eleanor Bill Heckerman of Syracuse, James Joanne Messano of Liverpool, and Josephine Domico of Mattydale; his three siblings: James Priolo of North Syracuse, Paul Priolo of Central Square, and Mary Malany of Syracuse; 14 grandchildren: Joseph, Anthony, Gia, Genna, Mia, Kari, James, Lea, Kim, Michael, Erika, Melissa, Christina, and Nicholas; as well as eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call Monday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Funeral Service will begin on Tuesday, 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by burial in White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt.
