Bennie Quirce

Bennie Quirce, 85, was taken home by his Lord on January 5. He was born in Solvay but resided in Mattydale most of his life. Bennie served in the army in WWII in the European Theatre then went to work at Syracuse China retiring in 1986 after 40 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.
He was predeceased by his parents, Martiniano and Paula Quirce, and his sisters: Fannie Navarra, Marie Piedmonte, and Jennie Quirk.
Surviving are his nieces: Barbara Peter Staab, Sandra Thomas Holliday, Donita Roger Whelan, and Pauline Riedeman; his nephew, Michael Nancy Piedmonte; and many great nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Saturday in St. Margaret's Church. Friends may call prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Contributions may be made to St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Road, Mattydale NY 13211.
The family would like to thank Robin, Henry, Betty, Bonnie and all the residents at Riordan Senior Apartments for enriching our uncle's life. Thank you also to the staff at the Crossings Nursing Home for their very compassionate care.
