Jennie Quirk, 93, formerly of Raphael Ave., Mattydale, went home to her Lord, with her daughters by her side. Born in Spain Mrs. Quirk resided most of her life in Mattydale before moving to East Side Manor, Fayetteville two years ago.
Her family and children were her life. Jennie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a communicant of St. Margaret?s Church in Mattydale and was predeceased by her husband Oliver in 1979.
Surviving are her three daughters Barbara Peter Staab, of Long Island, Sandra Thomas Holliday, of North Syracuse, Donita Roger Whelan, of Fayetteville, a brother Bennie Quirce, of Mattydale, her grandchildren Michelle Dean Lombardi, Edward Staab, Christopher Caroline Staab, Robin Stephon Portlock, Nicole Matthew Holliday, Patrick Marshelle Whelan, Matthew Whelan, Paul Whelan, her great-grandchildren Corey Staab, Stephen and Michael Lombardi, Maeve and Roman Staab, Charlize Portlock and Maverick Whelan.
Friends may call from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Saturday at the Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale, followed by a funeral services at 12:30 at the funeral home, and a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm in St. Margaret?s Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
