Richard L. Ranger Sr., 69, of Sun City Center FL, died Thursday at his home. Richard was a native of Syracuse and moved to Florida in 2003. He was the son of Thomas A. and Mae Bell Ranger.
Richard was a 1986 graduate of Tampa Technical with a degree in Science Technologies. He retired in 2003 after 45 years as a tractor trailer driver.
He was predeceased by his son, Thomas M. Ranger, in 2002.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, the former Bonnie A. Cullivan; his eight children: Richard Nancy L. Ranger, Jr. of Apollo Beach, FL, Bonnie Wayne F. Dodge of Sun City, FL, John Linda E. Ranger of New Port Richey, FL, Laura Ritchie M. Lawton of Lockport, NY, Virginia Scott Smith A. Ranger of Eljay, GA, Shawn A. Ranger of Syracuse, Antonia Jack L. Albury of Liverpool, and Loretta L. Ranger of Sun City, FL; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayer will begin at 9:15 am Thursday at the funeral home followed by an 10 am Mass of Christian at St. Margaret's Church. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Mausoleum, Warners.
