Donna M. (Rankin) Lilly

Donna M. (Rankin) Lilly, 58 of Boynton Beach, Florida and formerly of Liverpool, left this earth peacefully on March 5th, 2019. To know Donna, was to love Donna. Her vibrancy and her zest for life were astonishing to anyone that was fortunate enough to be in her presence. If you needed a confidante, Donna was there. A hearty laugh, Donna was there. A shoulder to cry on, Donna would be there. A shopping partner, she may have been the best in the world.

Anyone that knew Donna also knew that she was an amazing Daughter, and Wife, Sister, an exceptional friend and more… However, Donna’s greatest joy in life was being a Mother to her daughter, Ashley. From the moment she was born, Donna treasured every aspect of being the world’s greatest mom. Ashley’s grace, bravery, and love for her mother over the course of Donna’s illness is a testament to the amazingly close and loving bond that they shared, and will always share.

Donna displayed incredible resilience and bravery during her struggle in the last years of her life; illustrating just how much she wanted to remain here on Earth with her family. However, God decided it was time for another angel to join him in Heaven. We will miss that smile that could light up a room, and those eyes that sparkled like a crown full of jewels, but we take comfort in knowing that Donna leaves behind a legacy of true love, kindness, and an abundance of laughter.

Donna is survived by her husband of 33 years, David R. Lilly, her daughter Ashley Lilly, both of Boynton Beach, Florida; her parents, David and Joan Rankin of Liverpool; her brothers, David (Joanne) Rankin of Liverpool and Daniel (Ann) Rankin of Las Vegas, NV; several Nieces, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday, March 24 from 11 am – 1 pm with a 1 pm Celebration of Life following.
