Lawrence "Larry" R. Rima, 78, of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday. Originally from Watertown, Larry was a graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Larry was as an umpire for many years for the Central Square RBI Baseball League. He enjoyed playing golf and baseball and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Susan (Seery); two children: Bridgit (Don) Parody of North Syracuse, and Randy Rima of Bridgeport; three siblings: Malcolm (Marie) Rima of Staten Island, Michael (Linda) Flanagan of Watertown, and Mary Germain of Lakeland, FL;
his two granddaughters, Sarah (Peter Battista) Parody of Lakeland, FL and Cindy (Steven Williams) Parody of North Syracuse; three great grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
All services will be private at the family's request.
