Robert “Bob” M. Mylchreest, 96, of North Syracuse, went home to be with God, his beloved wife, Nancy and brother, Father Bill, on Monday, October 31, 2022. He grew up in Eastwood and was a 1944 graduate of Eastwood High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Oswego State and served in the US Navy during World War II.
Bob owned and operated M.J. Kelly Supply for over 30 years. Bob also spent his lifetime up until the very end at Gold’s Gym in Dewitt where he made many lifelong friends. He lived a long, good life. He enjoyed sports, church, and summering at his cottage in Southwick Beach. Bob was a member of the Eastwood Golf League and an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was a devoted Catholic and welcomed his faith with open arms. He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale and Queen of Heaven in Henderson.
In addition to his wife and brother, Bob was also predeceased by a stepdaughter, Mary Harrington.
He leaves behind three stepchildren: Michael (Liz) Fogarty and Daniel (Beth) Fogarty, all of Virginia and Susan Colin of North Syracuse; and many great friends including Preston Prue and Ted (Joy) Binder.
Bob was loved and will be truly missed by all… he was a wonderful man. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Margaret’s Church, 200 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
