George Frank Ruggaber, 65, of Syracuse died Sunday. Born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany, Mr. Ruggaber has resided in Syracuse for many years. He was an Army veteran and served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. George worked as a Mason for many years in the Syracuse area for various construction companies including DJK Construction. He attended the New Apostolic Church in Liverpool.
Surviving are two children Sonja Brohm of Eppertshausen, Germany and George Ruggaber along with their mother Hiltrud Lenhart of Fountain Florida, four brothers Willi Ruggaber of Munich Germany, Felix Ruggaber, Clemens Ruggaber both of Liverpool, Rudolph Ruggaber of Minoa, four sisters Annerose Neumann of Burlington, Ontario, Mathilde Mondorf of East Syracuse, Hannelore Tattko of Toronto Canada, Elizabeth Vogel of Hamilton Ontario, 2 grandsons.
Calling Hours are 8:30 to 9:30 followed by a funeral service at 9:30 am Saturday at the Krueger Funeral Home 2619 Brewerton Rd. in Mattydale. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
