William Ryan

William "Bill" Ryan, 74, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Buffalo, Bill grew up in St. Paul, MN and moved to Syracuse upon his honorable discharge from the US Navy. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. Bill retired in 1998 after 35 years as a bartender for the Hotel Syracuse. He was a member of and past Steward of the Hotel & Restaurant Employees Union.

Surviving are his two children: Mary (Steven) Sleeper of Cicero and Michael (Lori) Ryan of Auburn; five grandchildren: Alyssa, Greg, Hanna, Christina, and Alydia; and a great granddaughter, Aleena.

Friends may call on Monday from 4-6 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a funeral service following at 6 pm.
