Barbara Rybak

Barbara A. Phalen Rybak, 76, formerly of LeMoyne Ave., Mattydale died on Sunday at James Square. She grew up in Mattydale and was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Phalen and resided there for 74 years before moving to James Square in 2004.
Barbara retired in 2002 after 56 years at Will & Baumer Candle Co. as a Quality Control Supervisor. She was a communicant of St. Margaret?s Church and a member of its Socialites group.
She was predeceased by her husband John in 1995. Surviving are her daughters, Betty Ann Rybak of Liverpool and Annmarie Heick of Sheds NY, a brother Francis Phalen Jr. of Syracuse, and her granddaughter, Elise Heick.
Friends may call from 4 to7 pm Wednesday at the Krueger Funeral Home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday at St. Margaret?s followed by burial at Assumption Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the St. Margaret?s Angel Fund, 203 Roxboro Road, Mattydale NY 13211.
