Brian Sauter

November 13, 1937 — May 11, 2006

Brian C. Sauter, 68 of Garnish, Newfoundland, Canada, died Thursday in Burin, NF. Born in Lowville, Brian grew up in Mattydale and resided Ormond Beach Fl and Newfoundland and as well as Mattydale before returning to NF three years ago.
After serving four years in the US Air Force, Brian attended the School of Music in Manhattan, and was a drummer in the late 50?s and early 60?s with The ?Johnny Pineapple Band?. He was retired from Julian?s Dining and Lounge as a bartender in Ormond Beach. He later owned and operated Sauter?s Hot Food to Go in St. Mary?s Bay, NF.
He was the son of the late Carl and Mae Sauter. He was predeceased by his daughter Donna in 1977 and a brother Thomas. Surviving is his wife of 47 years Shirley Rodden Sauter, 3 daughters Deborah James Anderson of Liverpool, Kelly Frank Demaria and Shirley Sauter both of New Hampshire, 2 sons Brian Carl Jr. and Jerry Amy Sauter both of Florida, 2 sisters Betty Jack Wentworth of Mattydale, June Becker of Texas, a brother Michael Joyce Sauter of North Syracuse, 18 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Services will be 10:00 AM Friday at the Krueger Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
