Loretta Scheuer

October 11, 1921 — April 16, 2011

Loretta "Sis" E. Scheuer, 89, of Malden Rd., Mattydale, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A native of Syracuse she resided in Mattydale for the past 63 years. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth Eckert.
Sis retired in 1986 after 16 years as an assembler at the Eraser Co. in Mattydale. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 1832 and a member of the 8 and 40 organization. She was also a member of the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Salina Civic Seniors and a communicant of St. Margaret's Church. Sis also was an avid bingo player.
She was predeceased by her daughter Jeanne in 1969 and two grandsons Joseph Molchanoff in 1993 and Brian Burnam in 2001.
Surviving are two daughters Roberta Molchanoff of Mattydale, Deborah Mike Krisher of Central Square, a son William C. Cathy Scheuer of Hastings, five grandchildren Brenda, Michelle, Erik, Logan, Billy, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Marlene Eckert.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer Service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday 9:30 am followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian burial at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Sis's memory to the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department 113 Malden Rd. Mattydale, NY 13211.
