William "Bill" A. Schiller, 84, died Sunday at Rome Memorial Hospital. Bill was a native of Syracuse but lived abroad most of his life before returning to the Central New York area in 1999. He was the son of the late William A. Schiller and Olivette Weber.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II and Korea. He retired after 33 years as a Shipboard Operations Manager for Sperry Univac Company in Washington D.C.
William is survived by his sister: Alice Brauchle of Syracuse, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including Norbert & John Spiegel, both of Syracuse.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the special care shown to Bill while at Rome Memorial Hospital.
