Joseph L. “Shock” Schoch, 48, of Cicero, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, with his wife by his side. Joe grew up in the Solvay area and was a 1993 graduate from Solvay High School. He attended SUNY Cobleskill pursuing a Culinary degree.
Shock was employed as a custodian for the North Syracuse School District at the CNS High School. He attended and worked as a vendor at the Syracuse Nationals. Joe enjoyed the gym and making lifestyle changes to support weight loss. He also had a passion for costume design and character development in addition to being a talented mixed media artist who drew, painted, and printed artwork on various apparel. He had his own product line, Shock-It-Artz. Joe had a sharp wit and creative comedic capabilities which he delivered AT LIGHT SPEED.
Joe is survived by his wife, Audra (Scripa) whom he shared his life with since 2005; his parents, Ralph and Linda Schoch of Camillus; a sister, Tina (Eric) Johnson of Camillus; a niece, Jen-Jen and nephew, Jimmy; his aunt, Patty DeLorenzo; an uncle, Wilbur Schoch; many cousins; his mother-in-law, Maureen “Wow” Scripa who assisted with Joe’s care; and his furry canine companion, DeLorenzo who was commonly referred to as “Boogs.”

Friends may call Saturday April 23 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00 PM.
