William N. "Bill" Shearer

William N. "Bill" Shearer, 85, longtime resident of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, December 15th and was reunited with his beloved wife, Gail, in time for her favorite holiday. Bill was a Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. He owned and operated W.N.S. Wholesale in Liverpool for several years and was a partner of B & T Pitstop Sales in Brewerton. He maintained his family’s summer home on Otty Lake in Perth, Ontario Canada for many years.
Bill was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, the former Gail D. Helfer, in 2014.
Surviving are their three children: Shelli (Bill) Deroche of Hilton Head Island, SC, William H. (Brenda) Shearer of Bernhards Bay, and Diane (John) Gaca of Clay; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the CNY S. P. C. A., 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
Services will be held privately. Burial will in North Syracuse Cemetery's Columbarium.
