After a long and courageous battle with cancer, John D. Shoop, 48, of Mattydale, passed away peacefully on Friday with his wife and two daughters by his side.
John was a welder/fabricator for 17 years at Industrial Fabricating Co., Inc. John loved to hunt and fish and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his mother, the former, Beverly A. Mabus.
John leaves behind his wife and best friend of 17 years, Diana; his two daughters: Erica and Hollie who were both his pride and joy; his father: Richards Shoop Sr. of Liverpool; his five brothers: Rick Fran of Bridgeport, Glen Darlene of Syracuse, Don Paulette of East Syracuse, Lee of Hastings, and David Kelly of East Syracuse; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and his loyal Siberian Husky, Thor.
Friends may call from 1-4 pm Sunday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 am at the funeral home followed by burial in Minoa Methodist Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association, P.O.
