M. Elizabeth "Liz" Skinner, 76 of North Fort Myers, FL passed away unexpectedly April 25, 2008 after a short illness. She was born on October 30, 1931 in Baldwinsville, NY, the only child of Theodore and Elizabeth Marden.
Liz graduated from Syracuse University in 1958 with a Masters Degree in Education. She taught elementary education in the North Syracuse, NY school district. While living in Baldwinsville, NY she earned her pilots license at the age of 17 and was an active member of the Baldwinsville Theater Guild.
After retiring to Fort Myers, FL she became the ambassador of SU Athletics in Southwest Florida. She was an active member of Elks Lodge #2596 and #2742 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3957.
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, William 'Rick' Skinner, her children, Deb Mahan Jack Myles, Pete Krawiec Chrissy Hirsch, Connie Krawiec Don Schurle, Tad Krawiec Terry Hook and Jeff Sue Krawiec, two stepchildren, Lenny Deanna Skinner and Deb Jamie Medina and 6 grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Joseph Krawiec and Victoria Tryon.
Funeral and Elk Services will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 11am at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale followed by burial in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Fund, C/O Liverpool Elks Club #2348, PO Box 547, Liverpool NY 13088.
