Donna Smith

Donna L. Rosekrans Smith, 60, of North Syracuse, died Wednesday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was a native of Liverpool and had resided in North Syracuse for 16 years. She is the daughter of Grant and Louise Rosekrans.
Donna attended OCC School of Nursing and obtained her RN degree. She worked as a registered nurse at University Hospital, J.M. Murray Center in Cortland, and as the Head of Infection Control at James Square. She was a member of the Syracuse Racing Pigeon Club and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Dennis E. Smith, Sr. in 2002.
Surviving are her three daughters: Christine Joan Smith, Kimberly LeRoy Vestal and Donna Joel Olmstead Miles; her three sons: Dennis Dawn E. Jr., Walter and Grant Lee Ann; her two sisters: Adora Lester and Karyn Lamson; daughter-in-law: Ellen Taylor; her 14 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her loving American Bulldog, KC.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-6pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, NY. Services are Monday, 11am at Calvary United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Donna's name to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool NY 13088.
