June Sperry

June Sperry, 83, longtime resident of Mattydale, passed away Saturday, April 3rd at University Hospital. Born in London, England to the late Alfred and Ena (Harding) Sturt, June resided in Mattydale since 1963.
She was a career waitress and restaurant manager in the Syracuse area working at several local restaurants including Danzer’s. June enjoyed visiting her family and made frequent trips back to England. She was an avid supporter of the Oneida Indian Nation.
June was predeceased by her husband, Donald Sperry in 1979.
Surviving are her two sons, Richard Sperry of Venus TX and John Sperry of Mattydale; two grandchildren, Katy and Sam Sperry, both of Syracuse; great grandmother of Juliana Marie and Rylee June and one more expected in September; and by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews in England.
Services were held privately at the convenience of the family.
