Mary Theresa St. Pierre, 83, of Kellars Lane in Liverpool, died Sunday at Loretto Fahey Nursing Home. Mary was raised on the South side of Syracuse and was a 1947 graduate of St. Anthony's of Padua. She was the daughter of the late Gaston R. and Helen (Woolever) St. Pierre.
Mary began working for NY Telephone at the age of 17 as an operator. She retired in 1991 after being with the company for 42 years. In retirement, Mary helped raising her great nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Kyle, Jocelyn and Matt, with her sister, Ellen. Mary was a member of the Legion of Mary for many years. She enjoyed camping and maintained her own camp on Mink Island on the St. Lawrence River and later in the Ithaca area. Mary was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Rita Donigan, Raymond St. Pierre, and Sister (Ellen) Theresa Bernard.
Mary is survived by her brother and sister-in-law , John and Mary Ellen St. Pierre of Elbridge;
and her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer Service will begin on Friday at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.
