Shirley G. Stackpoole, 81, of Oswego, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Seneca Hill Manor. Shirley grew up in Syracuse, resided in Chittenango and Liverpool areas before moving to Oswego in 2012. She was a graduate of Central High School in Syracuse and was the daughter of the late Adam and Adella Labonoski.
Shirley was a lifetime caregiver and worked as a home health aide for several years. She volunteered for Hospice of CNY and was a member of Malden Road United Church of Christ in Mattydale. Shirley was an avid Polka dancer with her husband, Wayne, and they traveled to various Polka events. She enjoyed arts & crafts especially knitting, plastic canvas and holiday themed gifts. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Wayne, Sr., in 1999, by their son, Marty, in 2010, and by a brother, Steven Labonoski.
Shirley is survived by three children: Wayne (Antoinette) Stackpoole, Jr. of Clay, Nancy (Paul) LaPointe of Volney, and Nina (John) Ballard of Godwin, NC; nine grandchildren: Nicole Surace, Brenda LaRochelle, Kristin and Paul LaPointe, Jennifer Turbeville, Taylor, John, Danielle, and Wayne Ballard; eight great grandchildren; a sister: Susan Aumiller of Chittenango; and her brother: Karl Labonoski of Canastota.

Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Spring Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery, Plainville.
