Rose Stankewitz

Rose Campanelli Stankewitz, 83 of Breman Ave. Mattydale, died Sunday, at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. A native of Syracuse Mrs. Stankewitz resided in Mattydale since 1950. Rose retired in 1983 after 37 years of service in the Television Division of the General Electric Co. She was a communicant of St. Margaret?s Church in Mattydale and enjoyed working in her garden.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 65 years John Stankewitz Sr., are her daughter and her son-in-law Carol Robert Long of Patton, PA, her son John Stankewitz Jr. of New York City, four grandchildren Matthew Long, Jill Long, Melanie Woods and Mary Rose Long.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 pm Wednesday at the Krueger Funeral Home, Mattydale. Services will be 9:30 am Thursday at the funeral home, 2619 Brewerton Rd, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Margaret?s Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery
