Stephen W. Liblanc, 67, formerly of Mattydale, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025. Born in England, Stephen grew up in Mattydale where he resided most of his life. He was a 1976 graduate of North Syracuse High School where he was on the wrestling team. Stephen attended Syracuse University.
He toured for many years as a promotional photographer with several rock bands including The Rolling Stones, Cheap Trick, Earth Wind and Fire, and Phil Collins. Stephen owned and operated Main Street Baseball and The Gallery of Stars where he collected and traded sports memorabilia. He personally knew many of the NY Yankees players and was able to get authentic autographs on various memorabilia. Stephen was also a member of the Gem and Mineral Society and a former communicant of St. Margaret’s Church.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph J. Liblanc, and a nephew, John Robert Fischer. Surviving is his partner in life, Robyn Jones; his #1 son, Joseph Jacob Liblanc; his loving mother, Yvonne Liblanc of Mattydale; his favorite sister, Jeannine (Jim) Fischer of Syracuse; and two nieces, Abigail and Gillian.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to benefit his son, Joseph.
Friends may call on Monday, January 20, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rod, Mattydale, with a Celebration of Life following at 7:00 pm.
