Steven J. Moses

Steven J. Moses, 71, of East Syracuse, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at Francis House. A native of Hastings, NY, Steve was the son of the late Gordon Moses and Gloria (Klein) Couch, and step-son to Ernest Couch. He was a graduate of Paul V. Moore High School and earned his welding certification from OCM Boces.

Steve owned and operated 635 Mechanical as a welder fabricator for 13 years until 2022. He retired from Hoffman Air and Filtration in 2004. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and an accomplished handyman who could fix anything. Steve enjoyed gardening and an occasional adult beverage while watching the game on TV.

He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, the former Mary Cullen, and his brothers: Gregory and Kevin Moses and Timothy Couch.

Steve is survived by his life partner, Jo Ann Radlowski, with whom he resided for the past 15 years, two children, Kelly (Darrick) Williams and Timothy Moses; two grandchildren, Xavier and Jocelyn Williams; his extended Radlowski family: Christopher (Nicole) Woodside and their children, Evelyn, Claudia and Camden and Jeffrey (Jenn Fisher) Woodside and their daughter, Scotland; three brothers, Gorden (Mary Ann) Moses, Michael (Diane) Couch, and Joseph Couch; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A heartfelt thank you to Aunt Mona Greene, Cousin Debi Rotondo, and the staff at Francis House for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will begin Friday, 10:00 am, at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse with burial following in Woodlawn Cemetery.
