Michael E. Thomson, 43, of Rosewood Cir. North Syracuse died Monday at St. Joseph?s Hospital after a long battle with Colon Cancer. Born and raised in Dutchess County, Michael graduated in 1981 from John Jay High School in E. Fishkill, and received his BS from Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University and has resided in North Syracuse for the past 11 years.
Michael worked for several years at the Rescue Mission and prior to that he was a professional Landscaper in the Syracuse area. He was a member of the Grace Assembly of God in Taunton and served as a Commander of its Royal Rangers Boys group for the past 10 years.
He was predeceased by his daughter Gabrielle in 1990. Surviving are his wife of 22 years the former Bernadette Fuszara, two sons Elijah and Jared, a daughter Mariah, all living at home, his mother Palma Leslie Fleischer of Horseshoe NC, his father Robert Judy Thomson of Kingston, NY, two sisters Eileen McMichael of Cleveland, OH, Wendy Thomson of Boston Mass, a brother Matthew Thomson of Buffalo, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm Thursday at the Krueger Funeral Home 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, Services will be at 10:30 am Friday at Grace Assembly of God Church, 4220 Fay Rd.
