Steven P. Potter-Towndrow, 26, died Wednesday at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, Steve grew up in Mattydale and resided in the city for the past seven years. He attended Henninger High school with the class of 2005.
He worked as a laborer and a painter for several years Ray Mirra Homes and most recently with Koslowsky Construction. Steve was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling, playing football with his friends and spending time with his children and family. He was also a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan.
Steve was predeceased by his Mother Susan and is survived by two children Steven Adsitt and Ethan Sitar of Syracuse, his father Steven J. (Lynne Delia) Potter of Cortland, his paternal grandmother Betty Mazzeo of Auburn, four siblings Susan Towndrow of North Syracuse, Joseph Weyant of Utica, Joshua Towndrow of Syracuse, Daniel Molina of Rochester, his girlfriend Ashley Oakes with whom he resided several aunts uncles and cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Services will follow at 7 pm.
