Margaret "Margie" S. Turner, 99, lifelong resident of Syracuse, died Saturday, October 14th, at Elderwood at Liverpool. She was the last surviving child of nine born to late Gabriel and Bertha (Huber) Streiff. Margie grew up in Syracuse and attended Nottingham High School. She moved to the Mattydale area where she lived for 70 years.
Margie retired in 1981 after 15 years working at the Mutual Library Bindery; previously she worked at Atlantic & Pacific (A&P) Tea Company for 12 years.
In addition to her parents and siblings, she was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, William Turner, in 1997 and by their two sons, William W. Turner Jr. in 1988 and Terry Turner in 2011.
She leaves behind a daughter: Patricia (Peter) Shoemaker of Brattleboro, VT; four grandchildren: P.J. Shoemaker of Stratton, VT, Matt Turner of Syracuse, Tracy Turner of Syracuse, and Jeffrey Turner of Boston, MA; and her six great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Thursday from 9 - 11 am at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am with burial following in North Syracuse Cemetery.
