Veronica B. Connor

Our beloved and beautiful Mother, Veronica B. Connor (Trulli), 95, of Millen Drive in North Syracuse, passed away at her home Saturday morning on the 19th of October 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 

She is survived by her children: Carl Connor of North Syracuse, Brian Connor of Syracuse, Donna Meskell of Rochester, and Christine (Martin) Woodford of Syracuse; her grandchildren: Justin (Sarah) Woodford, Amanda (Thomas) McAllister, and Brigette Meskell; a great grandchild, Haley Woodford; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased in 2008 by her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph R. Connor, and in 2012 by her son-in-law, Paul Meskell, her parents, Bridget and Carlo Trulli, and by her brothers, Lark and Ben Trulli.

Veronica, affectionately known as Ronnie, was born on the 7th of February 1929 in McKees Rocks, PA., to Bridget Kitchen Trulli and Carlo Trulli. She was the eldest of three siblings and as such took on many responsibilities, greatly assisting her parents. She met her husband Joe near her hometown and their love story began. They started their family in Colorado Springs and after the birth of their two sons, moved to North Syracuse. She was a deeply dedicated wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Raised on the doorstep of the Great Depression, she learned to appreciate everything she had. She loved her family abundantly. She was a private person and loving wife to her husband, Joe. Her family was her life, and home was where her heart remained. Family game nights will echo forever with the love and laughter we all shared. The love she so generously gave will carry us through our days. Mom, you have been unbelievable.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, October 27, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayers will begin on Monday, October 28, 9:30 am, at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
