Violeta Urena

Violeta Urena, 69, of Dover, New Jersey, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024. Born and raised in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Violeta emigrated to the US in 1978. She resided in New York City for a few years before creating her home in Dover, New Jersey in 1982.

Violeta retired in 2002 from the Levolor Blind Company in Rockaway, NJ, after working there for 20 years. She enjoyed bingo, cooking, baking, and taking care of her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Miguel Urena in August of 2023, by her mother, Vitalina, and a sister, Enlalia.

Violeta is survived by her two children, Edwin Jacques with whom she resided and Hasse Baerga of Liverpool; two grandsons, Juanmiguel and Amaury; sisters, Andrea and Mima, both in the Dominican Republic; and by several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private and at the family’s convenience.
