Robert Voelk

Robert G. Voelk, 78, of Kirsch Drive in Mattydale, died Monday at Crouse Hospital. Robert was a native of Syracuse and had resided in Mattydale since 1963. He was the son of the late George and Elsie Voelk.
Robert was a graduate of Valley High School and attended Central Tech. He retired in 1979 after 30 years in the delivery division at Crowley Foods. He then worked as a courier for 15 years for Electronic Accounting Services in Syracuse. He was former member of Wildwood Golf Course and won the President's Cup in 1975. Robert enjoyed fishing at Cape May Point in NJ and was an avid S.U. Basketball and Football fan.
He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, the former Kathryn Ryan in 1996.
Surviving are his two sons: David and William Voelk of Mattydale; his daughter and her husband: Deborah and Kevin Tomb of Hastings; and his two grandchildren: Jessica & Daniel Tomb.
Friends may call from 4-7pm Thursday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00am followed by burial in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
