Christopher Vogelsang

Christopher L. Vogelsang, 38, of Schaffer Ave in Syracuse, died Sunday, February 28 at University Hospital. Chris was born and raised in North Syracuse and resided in the Lyncourt/Eastwood area for the past 10 years.
He was a graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High and was recently attending Columbia University. Chris had worked in food preparation for several restaurants in the Syracuse area for many years including Jreck Subs in Liverpool for the past year as a chef. He was a member of the Alcoholics Anonymous at Fellowship Hall in Eastwood and enjoyed spending time with his family. Chris was a movie buff as well as an amateur mechanic.
Surviving are his wife of eight years, the former Kathleen Riley; four sons: Michael, Vincent, Paul and Mikey; his parents: Gerald and Elizabeth Vogelsang of North Syracuse; two sisters: Janice Jim Vogelsang of Oswego and Valerie Vogelsang of North Syracuse; and a niece and nephew: Juliet and Jeremy.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8:30pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Funeral Service will follow at 8:30 pm. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Warners. Contributions may be made to the Vogelsang family c/o Krueger Funeral Home.
