Agnes Ware

July 28, 1934 — February 19, 2008

Agnes "Aggie" M. Ware, 73, of the Bessie B. Apartments in Mattydale, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter. Aggie was a native of Syracuse and grew up in the North and West side of town. She had been a resident of Mattydale for over 20 years and was the daughter of the late Matty & Alice Palmisano.
Aggie attended Central Tech High School and was employed for 19 years at New Process Gear on the assembly line before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Local UAW #624, was very active on the retirees' committee, and participated in many fundraising activities especially for the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Aggie was an avid bingo player, enjoyed fishing and watching organized sports. She was a fan of the S.U. Orangemen and was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
Aggie was predeceased by her sisters, Josephine Proscio and Amelia Allen.
Surviving are her six children: James Aceto of Syracuse, Kathy Ware DeMaio of Minoa, John Margaret Ware of Liverpool, David Antoinette Ware of North Syracuse, Matthew Lisa Ware of Cicero, and Richard Ware of Mattydale; her two brothers: Charlie Palmisano of Deltona, FL, and John Geno of Ormond Beach; as well as her five grandchildren, David, Michael, Christina, Madison & David; her two great grandchildren, Arianna & Nicholas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Monday from 3-7pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Services are Wednesday, 12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery following the service. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, Box 7, East Syracuse NY 13057.
