Martha Elizabeth Weaver, 47, lifelong resident of North Syracuse, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Martha was a 1985 graduate of Cicero North Syracuse High School and received her Associates Degree in Business from Bryant & Stratton.
She worked as a medical secretary before retiring. Martha was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #821 in Clayton and of the VFW Auxiliary Post #3146 in Mattydale. She was a member of the Home Bureau and of the Girl Scouts where she achieved the rank of Silver and Gold before continuing on as an Adult Scouting Supporter. Martha had a strong love for her family, animals and gardening. She enjoyed camping at the family camp which she referred to as "her river". Martha was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
She was predeceased by her mother, Sarah C. Weaver, in 2010.
Martha is survived by her father, Daniel F. Weaver and two siblings: Daniel F. Weaver, Jr. and Katherine Weaver-Van Marter, all of North Syracuse; by a niece, Alexandria (Joshua) Reynolds of Buffalo; and her great nephew, Maxwell.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Prayers will begin on Thursday, 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale. Burial will be in the Weaver Family plot at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Pompey.
