Harold "Bud" L. Wiemeier, 88, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015. A native of North Syracuse, Bud spent his winters in Lake Wales, FL and his summers in Black Lake, NY for the past 26 years. He was the son of the late Harold and Helen (Scott) Wiemeier.
Bud was a WWII US Naval veteran serving at Omaha Beach receiving a Bronze Star and at Okinawa receiving a Purple Heart. He retired in 1992 after 25 years as an Industrial Arts Teacher at North Syracuse High School. Bud was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He was a lifelong member of the North Syracuse Baptist Church.
Bud was predeceased by his wife of 64-1/2 years, the former Elizabeth "Liz" J. Kennedy, in 2011.
He is survived by his children: Margaret (Andrew) Mondo of Mattydale, Harold (Roxanne) of Baldwinsville, David (Kandy) of Mattydale, and Paul (Fernanda) of Newburgh, IN; a sister: Corrine Knickerbocker of Pennellville; a brother: Darrell Wiemeier of North Syracuse; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and three great great grandsons.

Friends may call on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 10 - 11 am at North Syracuse Baptist Church. Services will begin at 11 am followed by burial in North Syracuse Cemetery.
