David ?DW? Wienclawski, 59, of Finch Path, Liverpool, passed away Tuesday in Oneida following a sudden illness. He was the son of Marion Oriend and the late Peter J. Wienclawski A native of Syracuse, he resided in the Liverpool area for the past 30 years.
David graduated from Assumption Academy and went on to attend Walsh College in Canton, OH. He was a car dealer for 35 years and owned and operated David Wienclawski Auto Sales in North Syracuse for the past 10 years. He managed the band ?Grandpa?s Medicine? and promoted several other area events including the CNY Motorcycle Show and Battle of the Bands. David also ran Cougar?s Bayou Cafe at the NYS Fair. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp Reserves Unit.
He is survived by his wife, Helene Benware, of 34 years, his mother, Marion OriendWhorral, of Barefoot Bay, FL, his two daughters; Lindsey Phillip Knapp, of Eastwood, Lauren Wienclawski, of Cicero, two grandsons; Nicholas & Nathan, his sisters; Jackie Drew Utton, of Fayetteville, Estelle Fred Price, of Manlius, his mother-in-law, Helene Hilton, of Liverpool, sister-in-law, Connie Luhrs, of Cicero, his nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Christopher, Christine, Andrea, Casey, Brice and Jeffrey, several aunts and uncles
Friends may call from 10 to 11 am Tuesday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am. A reception of remembrance will be held at Change of Pace Restaurant on 1802 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13208 after the services.
