William J. Savage

William J. Savage, 93, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. He was the son of the late William A. and Katherine Savage. William graduated from Vocational High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the USS Vulcan.

He retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation after 37 years of employment. He then resided in Florida for 25 years with his wife of 65 years, the former Joan (Ouderkirk).

Besides his wife, Bill is survived by his two daughters, Kristin Gagnon and Lauren (James) Wisnowski; grandchildren: Jon Paul (Kristine) Gagnon, Stephanie Gagnon (Christopher DeSalis), and Nicholas Myers (Ashley Shaw); great grandchildren: Alexis, Danica, and Asher Gagnon, Maddison and Eymarah Myers; and his brother, Richard (Judy) Savage.

He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Stephen Gagnon, in 2008.
