William H. Taylor

William “Bill” H. Taylor, 91, of Camden, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at his home. Born in Knoxville, Illinois, Bill was a 1950 graduate of Senn High School in Chicago. He attended junior college and after serving in the US Army during the 1950’s, Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Northwestern University. 

Bill was a civil engineer with Harza Engineering Company in Chicago, IL, before retiring in 1995 as the Vice President of Harza Northeast Company. They resided in Ingleside, Illinois before moving to Camden in 1986. He was a member of A.S.C.E, the American Society of Civil Engineers. Bill was an outdoorsman who loved to ski and golf depending on the season. He played guitar and belonged to the Old Timer’s Bluegrass group.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Hartford and Elizabeth (Mulliner) Taylor, a sister, Betty C. Finch, and a nephew, Charles F. Finch. 

Surviving is his wife of 55 years, the former Patricia “Pat” (Rhodes); their three children: Paula A. (Wesley) Duerr of Syracuse, Kyle (Shannon) Taylor of Fulton, and Kara E. (Jason) Wallace of Chittenango; two grandchildren, Hope (Matt) Arvidson and Joshua Wallace; and by his three great grandchildren: William, Gideon, and Ezekiel.

Graveside Services and burial will be held at a later date in Camden Cemetery.
